ABC Waste is the Trash/Recycle vendor for the community. The trash is picked up on Thursdays and the recycling is collected the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.

Acceptable recyclables:
Paper (Dry & Clean): Newspapers and inserts, junk mail, magazines, office paper etc...
Cardboard (Dry, Clean, & Broken Down)
Plastic bottles and jugs 1 thru 5 (Clean & Rinsed)
Aluminum & Steel Cans (Clean & Rinsed)
Rejected recyclables:
** GLASS
** PLASTIC BAGS
** PLASTIC 6 – Polystyrene
Examples: Egg Cartons, Styrofoam, plastic cutlery
** PLASTIC 7 – Other (BPA, Polycarbonate & LEXAN)
Examples: Baby Bottles, sippy cups, water cooler bottles, car parts, plastic food containers
When in doubt, look at the bottom of the container. There will be a number in the middle of the recycling logo.

Yard waste and bulk trash information
Using the My Chatham App or Chatham County Website for County Services:
- Download: Find "My Chatham" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Go Online: Visit mychatham.chathamcountyga.gov.
- Submit Request: Use the "Request for Service" feature for missed collections, uploading photos and getting status updates.
Key Things to Know:
- Make sure your items were at the curb the night before pickup and placed correctly. Any blocked bins or items not meeting criteria (e.g., size, weight) can cause missed pickups.
- Familiarize yourself with the holiday schedule for Chatham County so that you know if a pickup will be delayed.
